My approach to documentary wedding photography is simple: I don't want to manufacture moments for the camera. I want to notice the ones that are already happening.
I photograph weddings naturally, unobtrusively and without forcing you into awkward poses, while giving a little gentle direction when it's useful. I'm looking for the moments within the moments — the reactions, expressions, connections and small details that help tell the story of your day.
Based in Runcorn, Cheshire, I photograph weddings throughout Cheshire and the North West, including Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, Warrington, Widnes, Frodsham and beyond.

For me, a great wedding photograph should do more than show you what happened. It should make you feel like you're back there.
That's why I look for anticipation as much as the obvious moment — what's happening just outside the frame, what has just happened, and what is about to happen next.
Because the best wedding photographs aren't always the ones where everyone is looking at the camera.
Sometimes they're the ones that make you stop and think:

I'm not just a really nice bloke, apparently funny bloke and I don't just photograph weddings. Believe it or not, there are many strings to my bow. Live music photography, portrait photography, corporate / commercial photography, pet photography, I've even taken photographs for use in court cases! Unbelievable! But true!
